Our client is one of the Midlands largest recycling companies. With site across both the East and West Midlands, their purpose built sites can handle any form of recyclable waste. Their Leicester site processes 300,000 tonnes of mixed waste a year, with only 2.5% of this going to Landfill. They have invested heavily in their sites and recently built a brand new site to boost their capacity by 50%. Due to their continued success they are now looking to employ a mechanical maintenance engineer.
Role
As the mechanical maintenance engineer on site you will be responsible for:
- Recactive and planned maintenance
- Machinery which includes conveyors, bailers and bins
- Fault find on hydraulic systems
- Replacing components, bearings, gearboxes, shafts, rollers, belts, pumps and filters, like for like
- A substantial amount of your workload will include welding
Candidate
- Must have a mechanical qualification
- Must be able to weld to a competent level
- Must have worked on conveyoring machinery
- Must have worked as a maintenance engineer
- Must be a team player and flexible to the businesses needs
