Maintenance engineer

Shifts rotating

1st week Mon-Fri 6am-6pm

2nd week Mon-Fri 6pm-6am

3rd week off

Location - Leicestershire

Salary - £44,995 plus overtime (OTE £48k+)

The Company

Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality food products. With multiple sites across the UK, this multi-million-pound company is looking to recruit a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their strong and accomplished engineering team.

Their site in Leicestershire produces the best quality traditional food into the biggest supermarkets and have seen huge growth in their turnover which now stands at over £1billion. The business is always looking to improve its operation and is actively looking at ways to increase efficiencies with engineering being at the heart of this drive. Due to their growth they now require a maintenance engineer to join their established team.

The Role

The maintenance engineer will be responsible for all electrical fault finding and rectification work on production lines on site. This would include fault finding through to a competent level with a multimeter or by checking inputs and outputs, reading schematics and checking HMI screens.

The work will be a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance working with skilled engineers to keep production running to its optimum capacity.

Electrical components include:

  • Sensors
  • Relays
  • Safety circuits
  • 3 phase motors
  • Panel work

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

  • Must have a recognised electrical qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, BTEC, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND).
  • Experience of working within a FMCG or Automated Production environment.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
