Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Weds-Thurs-Fri-Sat DAY shift – 7am-7pm (Tuesday overtime available x1.25)
Location - Dunstable
Salary - £37,400 - £45,000 + bonus scheme after 6 months
Benefits – 22days + 8 bank holidays, bonus scheme, training, development, pension
The Company
Our client is a leading manufacturer of food products who have been established for over 35 years. This family-owned business is a real success story and has multiple sites.
Their site in Dunstable produces a number of different high-quality products and supplies into all of the major multiples, their group turnover peaks at £130m. The business has major growth plans and has recently seen a significant investment across their sites and are also looking to enhance their capacity on site with the introduction of new production lines in the coming years.
Due to their continued growth, they have been able to increase their team size within engineering and are looking for a maintenance engineer to join their established team.
The Role
As the maintenance engineer you will be responsible for all mechanical planned maintenance on production lines on site during shutdown This will include periodic checks, changes and improvements.
Mechanical components will include:
- Belts
- Bearings
- Chains
- Gearboxes
- Motors
- Pumps
- Filters
- Blades
- Shafts
- Sprockets
- Rollers
The Candidate
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:
- Must have a recognised mechanical qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, BTEC, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND).
- Experience as a maintenance engineer
- A positive can-do attitude
