Maintenance Engineer

Panama DAY shift - 2on 2off 3on 2off 2on 3off – 6am-6pm (off every other weekend)

Location - Worksop

Salary - £37,000

The Company

Our client is a leading manufacturer of food products who have been established for over 100 years. This family-owned business is a real success story and has multiple sites across the globe.

Their site in Worksop produces a number of different high-quality products and supplies into all of the major multiples, their group turnover peaks at £1bn. The business has major growth plans and has recently seen a significant investment across their sites and are also looking to enhance their capacity on site with the introduction of new production lines in the coming years.

Due to their continued growth, they have been able to increase their team size within engineering and are looking for a maintenance engineer to join their established team.

The Role

As the maintenance engineer you will be responsible for all electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification work on production lines on site. This will include fault finding through to a competent level with a multimeter or by checking inputs and outputs, reading schematics, and checking HMI screens.

Electrical components include sensors, relays, safety circuits, 3 phase motors, inverters, switches & panels. PLC experience will require checking of inputs/outputs, ladder logic, uploading and downloading programs.

Mechanical work will include fault finding, swapping like for like on components such as bearings, motors, belts, blades.

The work will be predominantly reactive maintenance.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

  • Must have a recognised electrical qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, BTEC, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND).
  • Experience as a maintenance engineer
  • A positive can-do attitude
