The Company

Our client is a leading a manufacturer of high-quality food products. With multiple sites across the UK, this multi-million-pound company are looking to recruit multi-skilled engineers to join their strong and accomplished engineering team.

Their site in Cornwall produces a range of ready to eat products to the major supermarkets and have seen huge growth in their turnover. The business has recently gone through significant investment to improve their facility and operations.

The Role

The multi-skilled engineer will be responsible for all mechanical and electrical fault finding and rectification work on production lines on site. This would include fault finding through to a competent level with a multimeter or by checking inputs and outputs, reading schematics and checking HMI screens.

Electrical components include sensors, relays, safety circuits, 3 phase motors, conveyors, converters, switches & panels.

Mechanical components include bearings, shafts, rollers, belts, pumps.

The work will be a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance working with mixers, blenders, ovens, cook pans, mincers, check weighers, Packing Robots, boilers, spiral chillers, x-ray machines, metal detectors, box erectors, glue lines, printers, barcode printers and scanners, depositors, pumps, pipe work, large weigh scales, tray sealers.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application as a multi-skilled engineer you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

Must have a recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, BTEC, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND).

A positive can-do attitude.
