Mechanical Fitter/Service Engineer
£30,000-£31,000 + OT + 33 Days Holiday
OTE £45-£50K
Based within 30 miles of Doncaster
The Company:
A well established manufacturer of heavy industrial machinery is looking to significantly grow its service department with the addition of a number of mechanical fitter/service engineers.
This business design, manufacture and install mechanical handling solutions into the mining, aggregates, and steel industry, but also offer service contracts for these products as well customers own machinery
The Role:
- Most of your time will be spent on customer sites across the UK, performing inspections, maintenance, and emergency breakdown support on mechanical machinery.
- When you are not on site you will be working at the companies’ head office in Doncaster, in their workshop.
- Days to day the role of mechanical fitter will involve striping down and rebuilding machinery, service and maintenance of equipment and occasionally site installations.
- Typical machinery would include gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, screens, motors etc
Required Experience:
- You must be an apprentice trained mechanical fitter
- Commutable to Doncaster but flexible to travel and work away from home
- You will have experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery
- Ideal industrial backgrounds would be steel, mining, aggregates or similar
