Mechanical Engineer
Shifts- Days Role (6am-2pm Monday–Friday)
£44,000 + 5% Bonus + 10% Pension + 33 Days Holiday
Location- Commutable from Runcorn, Warrington & Chester

You’ll join a highly skilled maintenance team working Monday to Friday, 6am–2pm, supporting the smooth running of fast-paced production lines and modern automated machinery.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of production and packaging equipment.
- Involvement in continuous improvement projects and machinery upgrades.
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
- Supporting new CAPEX installations and helping to commission new equipment.
- Performing mechanical fault finding, strip-downs, rebuilds, and routine servicing.
- Using your fabrication and welding skills — a competent welder would be a real advantage in this role.

About You
- Time-served or apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer
- Strong background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Confident working with pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and other automated systems
- Welding/fabrication skills are highly desirable
- Positive, proactive attitude with an interest in developing and cross-training
