The Company:
A market leading automated warehouse and distribution operation with a large maintenance department is looking for a stores person to help plan and organise the stores department to help the engineers keep the site running effectively.
The business has multiple sites all over the UK and uses the latest engineering technology.
The Role:
Working in a busy engineering stores department you will be working in a team of administrators to ensure the plant has everything it needs to operate effectively.
- This involves stock control and auditing
- Ordering materials and the associated paperwork that comes along with this
- Identifying areas of improvement within the department
- Checking in deliveries
- Producing reports
- Authorising invoices to be paid
Required Experience:
- Significant experience gained within an engineering stores environment
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- IT literate with experience of software-based stock control tools
- The drive to make the engineering stores more efficient
