A recognised high-volume manufacturer is currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a mechanically biased maintenance engineer. With a full order book record growth this a great time to join a growing company. Lots of overtime available
They are looking for someone who wants to learn and improve. Ideal candidates would be looking to step into a multiskilled maintenance role in the future. All training will be provided by the company
Due to growth in the business, they are currently looking for a maintenance engineer to work at one of their Birmingham sites. The role would suit someone who is happy working under their own supervision, who enjoys autonomy and is looking for a role on a day shift pattern. The role
Complete planned preventative maintenance
Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns
Attend breakdowns outside of normal working hours where reasonable and critical
Ensure health and safety is followed
Strip, measure, equipment
Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic faults
Working on conveyors, bending machines, slighting machines, laser machines and cutting equipment its medium to heavy industry – knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics I required
Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent
The company offer a good training and induction programme where they would have you learn how to use some of the machinery before getting one on one mentoring with one of their most experienced engineers.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Maintenance engineer role you will need:
Knowledge of pumps, pipework, filters, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems mechanical maintenance techniques on the above
Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent
