The Company
ATA Recruitment is working with a leading provider of testing services for a great range of industries including military, defence, rail and telecoms. We have been working closely with the business for over a decade and have recruited many people for them who have gone on to have stellar careers with the business. The company has multiple sites across the UK and they are currently looking to recruit a new Graduate Sales Engineer to be based from their Dorset operation.
The company has a rich history of bringing on board graduate sales engineers, developing them through the business helping them to become experts in the field and achieve their long-term goals.
The company operate globally with over 2,000 employees around the world with operations in the UK, USA, Europe and China. The company has ambitious plans to double its turnover in the next five years.
They are now looking to recruit a sales engineer to join a key growth area for their business. I am looking to speak to sales engineers who have some form of technical qualification and selling business to business.
The Role
The role of Sales Engineer will involve a combination of business development and following up on outstanding quotes to convert to order for the business. This will involve:
- Carrying out business development activities in the new growth area. This would be following up on leads generated by marketing campaigns.
- Maintain the relationships with these customers for ongoing future enquiries.
- Building relationships with previous customers to generate future enquiries for services.
- Chasing down outstanding purchase orders for outstanding quotes and overcoming any reservations customers must purchasing.
- In time you will begin to get involved in the quotation process for testing services the company provides.
The Person
I am looking for a Sales Engineer with
- A HNC or above in an engineering related discipline.
- Some exposure to either a customer facing or sales role.
- Business to business sales experience
- You will need to be a target driven individual who.
- Someone who enjoys sales and building relationships.
