£Competitive Package – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, 10% Bonus Scheme

 

The Company

With a UK turnover in excess of £100 million and being part of £1 Billion group, our client manufactures products used in both the construction industry and consumer markets and are a world leader in their field.

Their Derbyshire sites employ over 200 staff between two locations and carry out operations from product manufacturing, conversion, storage and delivery to their customers. 

The company are looking for a Supply Chain Project Manager to come in on a fixed term basis for 12 months who will take on a very autonomous role running Supply Chain Projects within the business.

 

The Role

As Supply Chain Project Manager you will be leading Supply Chain Projects within the business as part of the groups supply chain strategy with a view to optimising the end to end process for their customers.  This will involve:

  • Developing supply chain improvement roadmap and objectives for the plant in line with the groups supply chain strategy.
  • Creating the short and long term plans including targets and milestones to measure progress on supply chain projects
  • To lead the projects to implement the changes to supply chain processes.
  • To define and implement a lean and efficient order to delivery process for the business
  • To install Supply Chain metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement (sales, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics)
  • To analyse and identify opportunities for improvements in the supply chain processes and procedures
  • To lead the projects to deliver these improvements and to engage management in each area of the supply chain to deliver the changes.
  • To define internal supply chain service level agreements and processes that should be in place for the company’s key customer base.

 

The Candidate

To be successful in your application for this Supply Chain Project Manager role you will need:

  • Experience in running Supply Chain Improvement Projects.
  • A degree level qualification
  • Exposure to working in a manufacturing business.
  • To be an analytical person with strong problem-solving skills.
  • To be able to lead and persuade others to your way of thinking.
